Updates applied, checked, and rolled back if they break

WordPress that updates itself.
Carefully.

Core, plugins and themes update automatically on a copy of your site first, with before-and-after screenshots compared before anything reaches your visitors.

If a page shifts, the update is rolled back and held for review. You get the security patches without the Monday-morning surprise.

What's Managed

The parts of WordPress that aren't your content

You write the posts and design the pages. We take everything underneath.

Tested auto-updates

Core, plugins and themes updated on a clone first, with screenshots compared before it goes live.

Server-side caching

Page and object caching at the server, so you don't need a caching plugin fighting it.

One-click staging

Clone the live site, work on it safely, then push back with or without the database.

SSH & WP-CLI

Search-replace, imports, cron and exports from the command line instead of the admin.

Restorable backups

Nightly snapshots plus an automatic one before every update, restorable in a click.

Core Web Vitals

Real-visitor LCP, INP and CLS tracked per site, with the slowest templates flagged.

PHP you choose

Switch PHP version per site, with a compatibility scan before you commit to it.

Free migration

We move the site, verify it against the original, then cut DNS over with you.

How Updates Work

Four steps between a release and your live site

The reason automatic updates are safe here is that nothing reaches production untested.

1 · Snapshot

A restore point is taken before anything is touched, so the previous state is always one click away.

2 · Apply on a clone

Updates are installed on a copy of the site, never directly on the one your visitors see.

3 · Compare

Key templates are screenshotted before and after and compared pixel by pixel.

4 · Promote or hold

Matching pages go live. Anything that shifted is rolled back and flagged for a human.

Security

WordPress-shaped defences

Most WordPress compromises come through the same handful of doors. These are the locks on them.

Login hardening

Rate limiting on wp-login and XML-RPC, with two-factor available for every admin account.

WordPress WAF rules

Rulesets written for WordPress specifically, updated when a plugin vulnerability is disclosed.

Vulnerability scanning

Your plugin and theme versions checked daily against disclosed CVEs, with alerts before exploits spread.

File integrity

Core and plugin files watched for unexpected changes, the first sign of a backdoor.

Scoped access

Team members get only the WordPress and hosting permissions their role needs.

Clean restore

If a site is compromised, roll back to a known-good snapshot and we help find the way in.

Customers

Sites that stopped breaking on Tuesdays

Organisations running WordPress with us, in their own words.

An update to one of our plugins would have broken a page. It was held back with a screenshot showing what changed, and we fixed it on staging.

We dropped four plugins when we moved because the platform already did their jobs. The site got faster, and there is far less for us to keep patched.

Our site used to need attention every few weeks after an update went wrong. It has been left alone since we moved, which is exactly what we wanted.

FAQ

Managed WordPress, explained

What people ask before handing over the update button.

What makes WordPress hosting “managed”?

We take the parts of running WordPress that aren't your content: core and plugin updates, caching, security rules, backups, PHP versions and performance tuning. You keep full admin access and full control of the site. Managed means we maintain the platform beneath it, not that we limit what you can do in it.

Will automatic updates break my site?

That's the failure mode the whole system is designed around. Updates are applied to a clone first, key templates are screenshotted before and after, and the two are compared. If a page shifts beyond the threshold, the update is rolled back and held for review rather than pushed live. It isn't infallible, because a change that looks identical but behaves differently can still get through, which is why a restore point is taken first.

Can I install any plugin or theme?

Almost. There's a short banned list of plugins that duplicate what the platform already does, such as caching, backup and some security plugins, because two systems doing the same job is how sites break. Everything else installs normally, including commercial and custom code.

Do I get SSH and WP-CLI access?

SFTP is on every plan. SSH with WP-CLI comes in from Advanced upward, so you can run search-replace, imports, exports and cron tasks from the command line rather than clicking through the admin.

How does staging work?

One click clones the live site, files and database, to a private URL that search engines can't index. When you're happy, push it back, choosing whether to bring the database with you. That choice matters on a live shop: pushing an old database over a day's orders is the classic way to lose them.

What counts as a visit?

A unique visitor in a 24-hour window, measured at the server. Bots, uptime monitors and your own admin sessions aren't counted. Limits are guidance rather than a hard cut-off. If you go over consistently we'll talk to you about the right tier before anything changes.

Can you migrate my existing WordPress site?

Yes, free, on every plan. We copy the site across, stage it on our infrastructure, verify it page by page against the original, then schedule the DNS cutover with you. Most migrations finish within a working day.

Is this better than shared hosting for WordPress?

For most WordPress sites, yes, because the caching, updates and security rules are tuned for it rather than generic. If you're running a single small site and are comfortable handling updates yourself, our shared hosting runs WordPress perfectly well for less. Take the cheaper option if it genuinely fits.
